The Cyclops Story

 

 

 In 1913  John Heine Sheet Metal, commenced manufacturing Flat Framed Tricycles at Hay Street, Leichhardt,Sydney, N.S.W in 1915 the Cyclops name was Registered .

The building now is now used as apartments and still carries the Cyclops name.



  

1917   Australia's  first mass produced car  was a Cyclops  30 years before the production of
the Holden.


 


  



1920'S Famous Dinky Trike The first of the original Australian
designed Dinky Trike was produced, this original design concept
was kept until the 70'S
. Also see's the release of Motor Car no.'s 0,1 22 & 24


193O'S  Pedal car Cyclops was producing
Pedal Cars using USA car model looks and names such as Buick,
Chevrolet,  Pontiac and Packard.




1940'S  Cyclops Pty Ltd The company officially changed its name to
Cyclops Pty Ltd after the 2nd World War even with the outbreak of war Cyclops still introducedmodels such as the Vauxhall, Sports V8 and the Armoured Car
